How to dress for a wedding

So wedding season is approaching and you have a few invites…

When it comes to wedding guest attire, there are a few things to keep in mind. A wedding is a formal event, so your clothing should be appropriate, getting the balance right is important. You don’t want to be too overdressed or underdressed. Plus, make sure to take a look at the dress code on the wedding invitation. It will give you a good idea of what kind of attire is appropriate for the wedding.

If you’re not sure what to wear, err on the side of caution and go for something more formal, you’d rather be too dressy than too casual. In general, a nice daytime dress or suit is a good choice for women. A dress or skirt and blouse combo is usually a safe bet. Once you’ve got your outfit sorted, it’s time to think about accessories. Again, you don’t want to go too overboard, but a nice watch, cufflinks or necklace can add a touch of class to your look. That is… don’t forget to accessorize! A pretty scarf or piece of jewellery can really elevate your look.

When it comes to picking out a dress, there are a few things to keep in mind. The colour is important – you’ll want to avoid anything that will clash with the bride’s dress. The style of your dress is also important. You’ll want to choose something that is both elegant and flattering. Avoid anything that is too short or too tight (weddings can be quite long, so dress for elegant comfort!).

When it comes to shoes, in particular, a pair of designer heels need to take the terrain into account! That is, consider the venue. Is the wedding taking place outdoors? If so, you’ll want to make sure your shoes can handle the terrain. Heels might not be the best choice if you’re going to be walking on grass or dirt. Finally, you’ll want to think about your own comfort level. If you’re not comfortable in heels, there’s no point in wearing them just for the sake of it.

  1. Figure out what kind of wedding you are attending.
  2. Choose an amazing dress from an independent fashion designer.

  4. Find a piece of matching fine jewellery, a  designer purse and maybe a designer scarf.
  5. Try on everything in your closet.
